About Your Dentist
Ana Arango, DDS
I am originally from Colombia where I began practicing dentistry in 1996 after receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Autonoma University. When I relocated to the U.S., I attended the University of Miami where I did one year of general dentistry residency and a one-year fellowship in advanced prosthodontics at U of M / Jackson Memorial Hospital.
I have a passion for dentistry and strive to put all of my love and knowledge into every patient I treat. Dentistry provides me with the amazing opportunity to change people’s lives by improving their health and most importantly, their smiles! During the past 23 years, it has been my pleasure to help my patients live happier lives with healthier and beautiful smiles. I am driven to provide excellent dental care to every patient, treating each one as if they are my own family.
I am an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. It was my honor to have been chosen as one of the Top Dentists by the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia magazines.
I am also part of the Millennium and Spear Study Clubs, which are comprised of the top dentists, endodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons in Northern Virginia. Through these study clubs, as well as my participation with Invisalign® and Biomet 3I/Zimmer, I am able to stay on top of emerging science in the field of dentistry. I thrive on continuing education and bring the most up-to-date dental technology and newest proven techniques to my practice, guaranteeing that my patients receive the best treatment with the best quality.
In Colombia, I grew up in Pereira, a small city located in the coffee region. I have lived in the Northern Virginia area now for 11 years. My Husband and I have five kids between us; we have four Daughters and one Son. We also have a Labradoodle named Molly. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending volleyball and football games and traveling the world. My Husband and I enjoy dancing, great wines and fine dining.
Marwa Hamidi, DDS
I am a native Northern Virginian and graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelors degree in Biology. From there, I attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I then did one year of a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Through the years, my passion for dentistry flourished. Dentistry is more of an art to me that allows for custom fine tuning and detailing specific for each and every canvas that I have the pleasure to work on. I hope to develop a comfortable and warm environment that puts my patients at ease. I strive to treat all my patients with the utmost respect and consideration as I would for any family member.
My passion outside of dentistry is to find the beauty in everyday life. I love hiking the countless trails around the Blue Ridge Mountains, exploring emerging chefs and cuisines around the city, and playing Among Us with my rambunctious nieces.
